62 sets ceramic lined check valves applied for sand mining on the ship delivered
Sand mining ship usually use anti-abrasive pump to extract sand at the bottom of river or sea.
Size of sands are different, and flow speed is fast, which will have high anti-abrasive requirement for sand mining system. Common metal pipe and valve will be abraded by fast-speed sands, which will make holes through pipes and destroy sealing face and flowing channel of metal valves.
Jiangsu Hantong Ship Heavy Industry Co.,Ltd. In short HT was built in2003, which is a large-scale ship and FPSO building company. It is located at Nantong city, Jiangsu province, who owns 1000 m sham shoreline. It begins to produce all kinds of ships (<60thousand Tons) and other related products since April, 2006.
Total area of HT is around 800 thousand square meters. Annual steel processing capability of HT is around 150 thousand tons. HT has three sets of 50 thousand tons and 80 thousand tons slipway. Workshop for processing ship body and is around 102 thousand 銕?/p>
HT focuses on building all kinds of ships (<60thousand tons). The handymax bulk carries produced by HT occupy more than 36% of the same industry.
In order to solve abrasive problems of sand mining pipeline on the large-scale sand mining ships for oversea customers, engineers from HT and FOYO work together to develop swing type ceramic sealing check valves applied to slurry of sand mining ship.
The import and exist channel, bottom part, seat and sealing ring of anti-abrasive swing check valve that FOYO developed for sand mining ships have been lined with 99% AlO2.
99%Al2O2 is a kind of advanced industrial structure ceramics, which has performance of high hardness(>HRA88)锛宻trength, anti-abrasive. Swing type ceramic lined check valves are suitable for all kinds of mud, placer, slurry, ore pulp, coal pulp, and so on.
In August of 2016, HT purchased 31 sets of swing type ceramic lined check valve from FOYO which includes 17 sets of DN100 PN16 and 14 sets of DN125 PN 16 ceramic check valve and cargos were delivered in October of 2016.
In November of 2016, 31 sets of same valves were purchased by HT again and delivered at the beginning of 2017.
So far ceramic lined check valves for sand mining ships have been working around half years, which turns out well. The expected service life of these valves should be over 2 years. Metal check valve for sand mining ships could only last around 3 months. It approves that ceramic check valves developed by FOYO can hugely reduce cost of replacement and repairmen of valves.
